Chichester's The Dining Room at Purchase's has established itself firmly among the 'crème de la crème' of Chichester's restaurants and offers a tranquil, stylish setting for any occasion be it lunch during a shopping spree, business, pre-theatre supper or a celebration dinner.

Chichester Festival Theatre A world class theatre within walking distance! The new Summer season is now in full swing, so we continue to take bookings for pre and post theatre. The Dining Room offers you a wonderful start or finish to your evening, with pre-theatre suppers available from 5.50pm Please note that out of season the restaurant does not automatically open for pre and post theatre unless we have reservations - so please book!.................................. (generally, during the winter months the cocktail bar is open in the afternoons only on selected days - please call 01243 537352 to check) Otherwise the bar and restaurant will re-open at 7pm. ............................................In addition we can also offer POST THEATRE suppers on Friday and Saturday or during the week for parties of six or more. RESERVATIONS ESSENTIAL for post theatre.
Situated in the centre of Chichester, The Dining Room is within easy reach of the theatre, Cathedral, galleries, shops and car parks, and can be found within the beautiful Georgian mansion of what used to be the country's oldest wine merchant, Arthur Purchase & Son. Run by the same family since 1780; so for over 200 years has been a prominent landmark in North Street.
For restaurant patrons, there is a conservatory and an enchanting courtyard garden, complete with wrought-iron pavilions and parasols to deter the rain to complete what is, a really delightful restaurant.
Alternatively, just soak up the atmosphere in the Champagne, wine and cocktail bar (separately branded as 31 North), because apart from the richly decorated dining room, the cocktail room is a great place to meet friends and sample one of the many Champagnes by the glass in the stylish surroundings.

Booking and cancellation policy
The Restaurant is open Monday to Saturday with lunches from Noon until 3.00pm.Theatre Suppers are from 5.30pm. (During the Autumn and Winter, on days when there is no performance, the restaurant will open at 7.00pm). In the event we have no theatre bookings, we will open at 7.00pm., so please ensure you book!
Dinner is served from 7.30pm. Last orders into the kitchen are 8.45pm. (10.00pm. Friday & Saturday) as well as POST THEATRE (booking essential)
The Bar is open Monday to Thursday 11.00am to 11.00pm. On Friday and Saturday nights we are open until Midnight.
Private parties and functions and outside events catered for.
